The Friends of Forgue Kirk is a Charity the objectives of which are to secure the management and maintenance of Forgue Kirk as a centre for activities available to people living in the area

The Session House has room for about 25 people sitting down. It provides a kitchen and toilets. It has a disability toilet. The Kirk seats 400 people. Both are wheelchair accessible.

The Playing Field Plantation recreation area is managed by Friends of Forgue Kirk
The trees planted in 2006 are growing well. The paths and seats are now a well used feature at the centre of Forgue.This work was originally supported by grants from the Scottish Forestry Commission, Entrust and Aberdeenshire Council and is now supported and maintained by local people.
